Data & Analytics Specialist
Now Hiring: Data & Analytics (Baseball & Softball)
The Total Player Center (TPC) is a high-performance baseball and softball training facility built on data-driven player development. TPC serves as a Regional Office for USA Baseball’s National Team Identification Series (NTIS) and collaborates with college programs and professional organizations.
This position is available in two tracks:
Data & Analytics Specialist – Internship
Type: Internship / Part-Time
Location: Livermore, CA (Bay Area)
Schedule: Primarily weekends; limited weekday event requirements in June & July
Role Overview
TPC is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented intern to support athlete evaluations and events through accurate data capture and technology operation. This is a hands-on role with real responsibility—ideal for a student pursuing sports performance, biomechanics, analytics, or player development.
Key Responsibilities
- Run data capture sessions using TrackMan, HitTrax, Uplift Motion Capture (3D biomechanics), OnForm video analysis, and ArmCare dynamometry
- Set up, calibrate, and troubleshoot tech systems prior to sessions
- Capture high-quality motion, ball-flight, and performance data during evaluations, camps, and events
- Organize and manage athlete files and session data for internal review
- Support staff with baseline vs. follow-up comparisons, trend notes, and simple visuals/summaries
- Maintain professionalism with athletes, parents, coaches, and evaluators
Who We’re Looking For
- Comfortable with technology and learning new systems quickly
- Detail-oriented and reliable—data quality matters
- Interest in sports science, biomechanics, analytics, kinesiology, or engineering
- Familiarity with baseball/softball performance tech is a plus (TrackMan/HitTrax/Uplift/OnForm/ArmCare)

Data & Analytics Specialist – Paid Specialist
Type: Part-Time (Paid)
Location: Livermore, CA (Bay Area)
Schedule: Primarily weekends; limited weekday event requirements in June & July
Role Overview
This paid specialist role is for candidates who can independently run sessions, manage tech workflows, and ensure high-integrity data capture. You’ll support high-level evaluations and national identification events, with data used internally and shared externally.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently operate and troubleshoot TrackMan, HitTrax, Uplift Motion Capture, OnForm, and ArmCare
- Own session setup: space readiness, calibration, capture workflow, and clean wrap-up
- Manage data organization, naming conventions, and delivery to staff for review
- Create clear comparison summaries (baseline vs. re-test), basic charts, and key takeaways as needed
- Support USA Baseball NTIS evaluation environments with professional standards and pace
- Coordinate with coaches and event leads to keep sessions efficient and on time
Who We’re Looking For
- Experience using baseball/softball performance technology (strong preference)
- Ability to work fast without losing accuracy
- Comfortable communicating with athletes, staff, and evaluators
- Strong organization, professionalism, and accountability
Data Use & Accountability
Data captured in this role is used by TPC’s expert staff and athletes and may be shared with college programs, professional organizations, and USA Baseball evaluators. Accuracy and consistency are required.

TPC Softball is seeking a Fastpitch Pitching Instructor to deliver training and player evaluations programs.
Responsibilities include: Teaching in small group training classes and private lessons. On site and remote player training. Pursuing an ongoing education in fastpitch mechanics and training techniques.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for both teaching and learning, excellent/adaptable communication skills, and a comfort/proficiency working with technology and data. We are looking for a motivated self starter who would like to contribute to a well established and rapidly growing baseball training operation. Collegiate or professional playing and/or coaching experience is desired. Previous experience training players at any ages is also desired.
This is a part-time position with a multi level pay scale between $20 – $80+ /hr. Additional commission, benefits, and bonus opportunities are also available. The position is on site at our Northern CA (Livermore) training facility.

The Member Services Specialist will work directly with current and prospective members as the professional, first point of contact. The successful candidate must be engaging with all customers, dependable and motivated to be a contributing part of a growing small business. You must be energetic and enjoy working as a team with our training staff. The ideal candidate will have a friendly, customer service mindset and an interest in athletics and sports administration.
