Evaluations & Placement
Do I need an evaluation before training?
Yes. All new athletes begin with an evaluation to determine the correct starting point and training path.
What is a New Student Evaluation?
A 13U assessment for pitching or hitting that benchmarks mechanics, movement quality, and baseline skills.
Coming Soon – Total Player Check: A full general baseball skills evaluation covering hitting, throwing, fielding, and athleticism.
What is a Master Analysis?
An advanced biomechanics and skill evaluation for pitching or hitting (ages 14+). Includes:
- Uplift 3D Motion Capture
- TrackMan or HitTrax ball-flight data
- Movement and mobility assessment
- OnForm video review
What happens after completing an evaluation?
Your trainer reviews the results, discusses goals and commitment level, and recommends the appropriate onboarding and training path.
Onboarding
What is onboarding at TPC?
Onboarding is a structured preparation phase that follows an evaluation. It ensures athletes understand core movements, drills, and expectations before entering ongoing training.
Why is onboarding required?
Onboarding establishes a clear baseline after evaluation and ensures athletes are placed at the correct level. It prevents wasted time, incorrect placement, and inefficient training.
Why can’t my athlete start classes or a membership right away?
Jumping directly into training without onboarding often leads to training at the wrong level and slower progress. Onboarding ensures training is effective from day one.
Is onboarding just an evaluation?
No. Evaluations identify needs. Onboarding prepares the athlete to train effectively by fitting drills, correcting movement patterns, and setting expectations.
Why does onboarding have its own cost?
Onboarding includes individualized instruction, drill fitting, and preparation work. It has standalone value and protects your investment in ongoing training.
Is onboarding required for returning athletes?
Yes. Athletes returning after time away (Typically 90 days or more) must complete onboarding to re-establish baselines and ensure safe, effective training placement.
Can onboarding be skipped?
No. Onboarding is required for all new athletes and athletes returning after an extended break.
What happens after onboarding is complete?
After onboarding, the athlete transitions into the recommended membership or program with a clear plan and correct training level.
