  1. Players are monitored based on which phase they are at in terms of 48 week cycle
    1. All players start Power Hitting at Phase 1
      1. Players come to two of three sessions offered per week.
      2. If a student misses a class, they may complete the same workout twice in one week if they choose to make up a session.
    2. All players that operate on same training schedule regardless of absent dates
      1. Every player has the same workout each day they show up. Group training schedules make the program flow easier. This gets each player a chance to get more reps and learn the movements faster.
    3. Each program lasts 6 weeks before a new group enters into the development pool for quality assurance and proper measurement.
      1. Make up sessions from a previous 6 week session are not allowed in the next 6 week session, unless paid for.
      2. Make up sessions are to be done during the 6 week time that was paid for at POS.
      3. Once a player has completed Phase 1, they can continue onto Phase 2.
  2. Testing is done every 4-6 weeks
    1. There are 10 total training sessions with 2 testing sessions inside of those 6 weeks.
    2. Testing consists of 20 swings off the tee and 20 swings in front toss
      1. Tools used:
        1. Axe Bats
        2. Pennybat
        3. Gamebat
      2. Values measured each test
        1. Max EV per bat
        2. Max Distance per bat
      3. Values measured per training day
        1. Max EV
        2. Ave EV
        3. Max Distance
        4. Ave Distance
        5. Ave LA
        6. HHA
      4. Dominant Evaluation/Training activities
        1. Tee
        2. Front toss
  1. Each phase in PH, is designed to simplify the programming for each hitter to create a linear path to finding the right swing for each player. This makes consistency to the program a major influence in the progression of the player.
    1. Players are all working the same drills, however, how their body types achieve the goal is what will be different player to player. This means consistency will help both player and coach train more efficiently.
  2. Once a player has completed all 48 weeks into the PH system, customized programs are driven into the player’s programming.
    1. Speed training is about loading, deloading, and reloading. Strength and speed training that will help evolve an athlete from one thing to another, takes place at the ages of 13-18. This requires building a foundation of athleticism that allows for the player to maximize their full potential. Our first 48 weeks are about building that foundation.
    2. Post completion of the system, this is where data and player development are the driving factor. Bat speed, ball speed, video analysis and movement observation work together to capture data and reproduce a program best suited for the needs of the athlete.
