Why attend a TPC Camp?

Our camps differ from most others in that we keep our student to instructor ratios low with a max of approximately 30 students. This ensures the best possible instruction experience for each participant.

Who are TPC Camps for?

TPC Camps are great for new, current and former students ages 7-10 and 11-13 who are looking to learn, improve and have fun.

What will I learn at a TPC Camp?

Each of our camps is designed for overall skill development. Hitting, pitching, throwing, fielding, speed/agility and more wiill be covered ovr the course of a 3 day camp.

Are TPC Camps Fun?

Our instructors pride themselves on teaching in a positive and enthusiastic environment. Camps include games and competitions which all the kids love. Many camps also feature use of our HitTrax MLB park simulator and delay video playback system.

Who are the instructors?

Our Camp Director leads and facilitates the camps along with TPC staff instructors. TPC also often feature guest appearances and instruction from current professional players, many of whom are still TPC students themselves.

SUMMER 2018 CAMP DETAILS

We have 1, 2 & 3 day camps. Camps feature skills, drills and competitions in all areas of major areas of the game (hitting, pitching, throwing, fielding). Players will have blast while improving their skills with our TPC staff and often guest appearances from former and current professional baseball players. Our camps feature flexible attendance with morning, afternoon and full day sessions and 1, 2 or 3 day options. Attend when it works for you. The best part is that our camps are limited to around 30 players in number to create a great learning environment. They are also held in our indoor facility so no chance for rain out. With limited total spots, be sure to register early.

SUMMER CAMPS:
Each of our Summer Camps feature skills work in ALL AREAS OF THE GAME with a rotation of specialty skills work. The specialty skill for the particular camp will be extra focus on that particular discipline. Campers will work on that particular area of the game for a portion of each day during the 3 day camp. Choose the camp that fits your needs or get complete skills work by attending 3 or more camps.

Summer Camp #1 (Jun 5 - 7) - #21 “Sweetness” Black and Yellow Camp

“Sweetness #21” got to the Hall of Fame by being able to put the ball into play consistency, driving the ball to all fields. He would then run the bases aggressively, putting constant pressure on the defense. In addition to the pitching, overhand throwing, fielding, team defense, and speed & agility, we will be focused in extra with hitting the ball to all fields, driving it past the defense. Once the ball if off and rolling we will run the bases aggressively, and correctly, keeping pressure on the defense!

Summer Camp #2 (Jun 12 - 14) - Destroy the Target Camp

Location, location, location! Location is so important. The ball has to be delivered on target, with consistency, for us to be a good player. We have to be able to repeat putting the ball on target. In addition to the hitting, base running, fielding, team defense, and speed & agility, we will be focused in extra on overhand throwing and pitching mechanics, to be able to locate the ball on target over and over and over again. Our games this camp will put a premium on being able to locate throws and pitches accurately with consistency!

Summer Camp #3 (Jun 19 - 21) - HIT Trax Camp

Our Hit Trax machine utilizes technology to give us tangible data for us to improve. In addition to the hitting, pitching, overhand throwing, base running, fielding, team defense, and speed & agility. We will be using Hit Trax in additional ways this camp, including giving the campers live game at bats. Along with extra video analysis this camp, the players will have great opportunity to use technology to improve the biomechanics of their fundamentals. Allowing the maximum learning curve for your player!

Summer Camp #4 (Jun 26 - 28) - Jack Dress’ Complete Play Makes Greatness Camp

Coach Jack Dress was an historic coach on and off the field for decades in the East Bay Area. Coach Dress knew and taught players not only the areas that filled up a stat sheet, but all of those sometimes forgotten essentials that make complete players, and keep players consistent for the entire season. Making your player a stand out in ALL they do!

Summer Camp #5 (Jul 10 - 12) - Power and Velocity Camp

In addition to the pitching, overhand throwing, hitting, fielding, team defense, base running, and speed & agility, we will focus on the mechanics and movements that add velocity and power across the board. Faster pitches, stronger throws from positions, and higher exit velocities off the bat!

Summer Camp #6 (Jul 17 - 19) - HIT Trax Camp

Summer Camp #7 (Jul 24 - 26) - The Unit of Big, #51 Camp

This was one of the most imposing players in sports. When he had the ball, he was of the mindset that you were lucky if you fouled a ball off. In this camp, in addition to pitching, overhand throwing, hitting, fielding, team defense, base running, and speed & agility, we will focus on the mental side of baseball and softball. From self confidence to a pure competitor’s attitude, having the self confidence that all of the work we have put in this summer is ready to shine. We are that good, and we will get on the field ready to dominate our position!

Summer Camp #8 (Jul 31 - Aug 2) - Putting it ALL TOGETHER

This is the last tune up opportunity for your player before school starts and the fall ball season comes. In addition to the hitting, pitching, overhand throwing, base running & sliding, fielding, team defense, and speed & agility, we will be doing game situations, both in pitching and hitting, and team defense. This will help put all the work your player has been doing this camp season translate onto the field, making the coming fall ball season an even greater experience
