Our growing business is seeking an Outside Sales Representative/Trainer to increase sales/membership. This position provides a unique opportunity for a candidate with a passion for and experience in baseball/softball as well as as sales to capitalize on both. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing contact with existing customers, identifying new opportunities, and following up on potential leads as well as also working as a baseball and/or softball skills trainer. The Outside Sales Representative will also monitor industry trends in order to identify emerging markets and develop plans to utilize those markets to expand revenue. If you have prior experience in outside sales and a desire to blend career with your passion for sports we want to hear from you.

Sales Rep/Trainer

  • Generate sales reports each week and submitting them to management
  • Utilize all available resources to reach out to prospects and attempt to turn those prospects into customers
  • Collaborate with the management team to improve marketing materials and expand the company’s marketing presence in the Midwestern territory
  • Attend industry trade shows to accumulate new leads and make productive contact with existing clients
  • Update client information in the company contact database
  • Stay on top of industry trends to identify potential opportunities for company growth
  • Teach baseball and or softball skills classes, camps, private lessons, etc
  • Train and update education in latest technology, theories and techniques for skills training

Trainers will work with directly with students in private and group training settings. Trainers work independently and together with our existing professional staff. The successful candidate must be engaging, dependable and motivated to be a contributing part of a rapidly growing small business. You must be energetic and enjoy working as a team. The ideal candidate will be an innovative self starter with experience in baseball and or softball as a player and/or coach/instructor. Part-Time/Full-Time: 10 – 40 hrs/week

Part-Time/Full-Time: 10 – 40 hrs/week

Pay: $15/hr – $45+/hr.  Strong bonus opportunities available.

The Member Services Associate will work directly with current and prospective members as the professional, first point of contact.  The successful candidate must be engaging with all customers, dependable and motivated to be a contributing part of a growing small business. TPC Baseball & Softball offers highly competitive internships in sports business management.

Our paid and voluntary summer internship programs are designed for rising juniors, seniors or recent graduates.

Experience in sports, sports marketing, or sports business are a plus but is not required for internships in the fields of: Sports Management, Sports Marketing, Exercise Science, Business Management, and Early Childhood Development.
TPC will be offering these internship opportunities from approximately May 15, 2016 until August 15, 2016.

Work Environment: TPC is a state of the art indoor Baseball, Softball and Athlete Training Center. We have 10,000 square feet dedicated to producing the highest level athletes in the Bay Area. Our facility is comprised of a 7,000 sq ft main floor that is divisible into up 6 individual training tunnels, a full weight room, cardio area, physical therapy office and video analysis classroom.  Our facility is also equiped with Iron Mike, HomePlate and HitTrax systems.

Responsibilities:

• Provide assistance, backup, and support to the Executive Director, General Manager, TPC Performance Academy Director, or Accounting Manager depending on the internship desired.
• Research, analyze and articulate orally and in writing facts, figures and information
• General administrative work and errands
• Various projects and duties as assigned.
• Assist with event and program promotions and execution.
• Ability to handle pressures of fast paced work environment and work well under pressure and within deadlines
• Will be required to learn our facility management software program – Sports-IT (Dash)

Requirements:
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

• Strong research and analytical skills.

• Be enthusiastic about the opportunity to work in the sports industry.

• Outstanding organizational, planning and time management skills.

• Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels.

• Self-starter with ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks concurrently.

• Must have reliable transportation.
